Just to balance out the worst one!!!

Favourite event = Chatsworth, thats a proper show!! V glamorous, beautifully built solid XC, just like a proper 3DE course. SJ in the middle of the main arena with grandstands, you definitely feel like you've made it!!

Also loved Thirlestane last year, think everyone should make the trip - again fab course, beautiful setting and great shopping.

Decided i'm only going to do glamorous events this year! Afterall costs the same if you go to a field in the middle of nowhere or somewhere like the 2 above!!

Gatcombe festival. Fab atmosphere, gorgeous weather, SJ arena is amazing

Mattingley - Lovely event - friendly - nice course
smile.gif

South of England - Never miss it - great educational course - lovely ground
smile.gif

And I love Eridge and Nurstead as it always seems to be warm! Even though never have a great time @ Eridge with those hills!!! But always baking hot!

Kirriemuir or Strathallan, both fantastic courses with great going, everything close together only negative point for Strathallan was every line in the SJ was a dog leg

.

Bicton (shame it's not on this year as fab atmosphere - the only one I go to watch only without my horse)

Pontispool (lovely all weather sj & nice xc)

Can't think of a worse ever one re: previous post as most down here seem pretty reasonable.

I love
Longleat, Charlton Park and Nutwell Court. They have ace xc, great atmosphere and nice dressage and SJ arenas.

Can't wait to go to Nutwell this year as I can remember you telling me about it. I'd love to go to Longleat but the PN is always on a weekday and there's normally something on in work

Love South of England - always a fantastic event, bold but inviting courses, quiet dressage warm up and lurvely ground conditions
grin.gif
Always well run and also close to home

Nurstead court - fab event - strong and up to height fun XC course, and lovely flat dressage arenas!!

(it was really sunny and warm too

)

Borde Hill - fab!!!!!! just really enjoy blasting round their XC course and the SJing is always well built - very friendly event

Blenheim was fantastic, totally different experience to Bramham - no disrespect to the latter, but Blenheim just had a an extra zero on everything if you know what I mean. However, I really love Rolleston. I've done the Advanced there twice and boy do you know you've done an Advanced when you've been round it! Admittedly the dressage warm-up is on ridge and furrow, not great for getting a rythm, but the cross-country more than makes up for it in my eyes. Haven't done the Intermediate there but it's a seriously tough one, a good stepping stone to Adv I would have thought. Oh, and they gave upper limit prize money. Santa145 and I (and Deco) had such an adventure getting there and back from Exeter in 2005. Also really like Bricky, they make such an effort.

Broadway as they are so friendly and the atmosphere has to be a major contender at a event and it always so nice when event secretarys are friendly not up their own arse!

Hmmm, would be a toss up between Chatsworth which is my favourite course on the Novice circuit, Tetton Hall which is local to me, my horse loved the xc and even managed 10th one year after being last after dressage and 5 down sj

, thats how influential the xc is. The other would be Storeton Hall (no longer run) because it was my first Novice and it was HUUUGE! (ignorance is bliss)!

Burgie was great fun last year BIG course though!!! Hambleden is lovely, quite a drive away though!!

I've jumped the naked lady at Purston and Aston le Walls, think Salperton had it too.
