Mcdonalds refuses Horses!!!

That will probably put pay to me breaking Penny to harness and using her to go shopping instead of the car! My bright idea to save fuel ruined!
Darn 'elf and safety rears its ugly head once again. You'd of thought McD's would like to have a range of 'different' customers, even if it was just to amuse the staff!

"So are they now going to refuse the serve the Household Cavalry??? They use McD's 'ride through'!!! "

Exactly my thoughts!!

It is ok for the Household Cavalry to ride and lead through the drive though en masse but not a single horse and carriage!???!??! MacDonalds were quite happy to have pictures of the HC in the drive through published in the papers a couple of years ago and nothing was said. Personally I think that riding and leading can be more of a hazard than a single horse and carriage.

Absolutly ridiculous!! Double standards.

I've taken trailer complete with horse into the Mc Donalds car park after going to a show nearby. There weren't any height barriers, but I don't think I'd get through the drive thru bit to be honest.

When you've spent a small fortune at a show its great to have a couple of items of the poundsaver menu rather than pay £3.50 for a cheeseburger at an equestrian centre you can get a double cheeseburger, medium fries AND an ice cream for £3.50 instead! VALUE!

Same thing, but different.

My OH were riding round Clatworthy reservoir in Somerset and thought it would be nice to ride to the picnic area. We were stopped by one of the staff and told we could not take our horses to the area. I asked if it was OK to drive a car there and was told that was fine, I said "but not a horse", "No sir, sorry not a horse".

I think the irony was completely lost on the guy, who was only doing his job and enforcing a ridiculous company policy. I wrote to the water company about this, but never got a reply.

The Household Cavalry use McD's drive through? Really? Oh dear, I thought they'd have taste?! ha ha

Spudlet - I think they'll continue to make the burgers mainly out of woodpulp and vegetable stuff like they have done for years!! I am lead to believe there's more meat in them though than there used to be. I think it used to be abour 12% meat!!

Hmm, wish i was in riding distance of a McDonalds - I'd liek to test them now!! :-)

.......I have bought an ice cream from a van passing through the village once when I was on a hack........ mmmmmmm!

My horse prefers to lunch in pub gardens. Never been turned away from one yet.

He wouldn't be seen dead at a MacDonalds. Anyway, his arse is too big to fit in a Quarter pounder.

Proof??
