Well me and Major went down to have a little jumping lesson with a friend of mine who professionally showjumps. He's been doing so well, i've taken him to her a couple of times now and he's progressing really well. His canter has come on a lot, he still hollows but he's getting there!

Anyway this week we stepped it up a little, un-fortunately she didn't video all of it as he threw some real cracking jumps! He's really learning what he has to do with his little feets! We started with a few x-poles anyway, here are a few stills.

Then she put up a little straight, that was smaller than the X we'd been jumping, he's popped over this in previous lessons to. I came round he corner same as normal, nice forward canter sat up and waited for the jump, on a good stride... didn't feel any different to normal then suddenly this happened!

The duck left that you can see here was the killer, if he'd just stopped i would of been fine but i was all ready to go over the fence (with the horse) then he decided rather than take off he'd duck out! And off i went!

So that wasn't so good, especially not when i bravely hopped up and jumped back on came round to do it again and the same thing happened!! little sod! But anyway i bravely (AGAIN) jumped up (in a little more pain the second time) and got back on and he popped it lovely! And a hole up from this! Un-fortunately she'd put the camera away by this point to concentrate on instructing lol.

We finished on a lovely forward jump over hole 4 on the polyjump, which is a decent fence for a lickle racehorse who's only jumped a handful of times. He's very clever (apart from dumping me!) and has a lovely jump he's such a trier! We've just got to tidy up his dangly legs, but he really uses his shoulders.

So there you go, bit of entertainment for you all on a Friday night... and for a little more entertainment here's the video!

Hope you dont mind me asking, i watched that video of it on youtube, how do you do them videos? ones with pics, movies, music and writing?? is there a special programme you have to do them?

Lovely photos, proper action shots. Glad you didnt land on the ground pole or bang your head. Hot bath for you and pain killers, bet your stiff in the morning.

Thanks for the comments, this was actually yesterday and i can safely say i am feeling it today! I think hanging onto the reins has made every muscle in my arms ache, and i have a huge bruise on my lower back, other than that i was lucky enough to escape un-scathed!

CC - i used windows movie maker, which your computer more than likely has!
