Me & Murphy went XC schooling for the first time ever and...

....I didn't fall off!! Woohoo

We went to the UK Chasers at Stanford on Avon and it was brilliant

Neither me or Murphy have ever been to a XC country course and I was really nervous about it but we had a great time and Murphy was fab!

we only did a few small jumps due to my nerves, and the fact that Murphy kept spooking at the jumps, and then we also did a ditch (jumped it first time

), water, step out of water and the steps. I was sooo pleased - Murphy's never seen a water complex, steps or ditches before.

We did the full 8.5 miles round the course, had some brilliant gallops and had a lovely canter down a disused railway track. As some of you may know, Murphy does his absolute best to avoid doing left canter in the school, at shows etc

but he decided to change to the left lead and we then cantered nearly a mile in left canter!

All in all in was soooo much fun and Murphy was a little star

No pics unfortunately as i don't think anyone would have wanted to run around after us with a camera for 8.5 miles.

I want to go again

that there aren't any photos! I would have loved a photo of us in the water because Murphy decided it would be fun to make as big a splash as possible and I got soaked!

it was a very very very long way and there were some very steep hills, i don't think he would have been very keen on trying to keep up with us
