Hi,

I'm about to put a saddle on e-bay. I'm not going to state narrow, medium or wide, as it's such a subjective thing, but I will put the D-D measurement on. What I need to know is, do I measure from the actual D rings or just across the front of the saddle, keeping level with the D rings? Hope that makes sense! It's just on this particular saddle they seem to be set back a bit, so if I do the former, it will add a couple of inches on to the measurement.

Cheese and biscuits to anyone who can help :D

got distracted and too late to edit.
For length as above

For width photograph the saddle from the front with a ruler held from D to D - that way the buyer can guage for themselves whether it is likely to fit.

med/wide/x-wide etc is probably more accurate than d to d measurement, unless, like the watcher said you put a tape measure up in photo. as manufacturers put D rings in different places (it is the nail heads that tend to be in the same place), whereas the majority of them stick to certain degrees of angle for each width setting...
best idea? put 'it states it is X width, and D to D measurent is X' and put a pic. you might also want to mention the amount of flocking etc round the front/gullet area as that affects width fitting too.

good luck! hope it sells xxx
