At the last 3 day event I did David Merrett did a course walk with a measuring wheel to let us know where the minute markers where. Although to be honest when on the course I completely forgot about them.
I am due to go to Ede and wondered whether I ought to get one just to know where I should be for each minute ? I'm not sure I can really justify the expense.
What are people's views on this ?

You can pick them up on ebay for around 20 quid

Unless you're going to be really riding to your clock i wouldnt worry too much. Just find someone nice and ask them for their markers or to borrow their wheel!

I've always asked someone else for their minute markers, but maybe next time I do a three day I'll "borrow" one from a building site as T_E recommends!

It's quite useful to know where you should be at what time, as long as it doesn't preoccupy you to the point that you can't concentrate on your riding! Have you got one of those stopwatches that beeps at you every minute?
