I've just come back from an hour on the mechanical horse at Poringland.

Thumbs up!

I've previously had sessions on Michele Cogger's one near Stansted but I have to say this is the updated version, having walk, two trots and two canters and the rider can ride both upward and downward transitions themselves.

The people there were very welcoming and helpful, the facilities excellent........spacious, airy, clean, large mirrors, loo, tea/coffee facilities.....

I am that taken with it I am going to organise some sessions for my clients to try it out..........beats me having to run round with them!

Hello,

I posted about this the other day, had a go Tuesday night. Also thought it was excellent.

Sorry did that sound a bit harsh/sharp? Sorry, just agreeing with you really. Think I would have another lesson but it's a bit pricy. Feel bad when my own neddy is eating his head off needing excercise!

I paid £30 for an hour without an instructor...........as I am one, but took friend who's my 'eyes on the ground' when I train my horses.

I'm not sure of the cost with the resident instructor or her qualifications/experience.
She comes on here sometimes so may look in and be able to fill us in.
Pilib sounds as if she may know.

Ah ha, thats good thankyou.

We have one at home which my sister uses to teach on, only got it a month ago but it is exceptionally popular. He's not as advanced as this one sounds so I think the prices are comparable
