I would just like to say how much help I am getting from Sue Carr at Jigsaw, Mawdsley nr Ormskirk, riding the mechanical horse after my riding accident.
Her help & expertise have boosted my confidence no end & walk, trot & canter with no stirrups has certainly improved my balance.
Riding Bob is just like riding a real horse but obviously he is "safe" & the improvement in my position can then be trasferred to riding my own horse.
Sue is an exshowjumper & very knowledgable rider & can assess individual problems & the results are astonishing!
I have tried several different mechanical horses but find Bob the best but I think a good instructor is paramount.
I would certainly recommend Jigsaw to anyone who wants to improve their riding skills.

Does sound like an advert to me too!

To counteract this possible ad, i have been on the Heather Moffatt mechanical horses and they were GRReat (in the style of Tony the Tiger)!

Certainly not! Ijust want to recommend Sue as she is a very good instructor & has given me so much help.
I was advised not to ride again after my accident & she has given me the confidence to start again on my own horse.

They are amazing aren't they! Heather helped me to identify where i needed to improve, and she was able to stand next to me whilst i was "trotting"!

Well done you with getting your confidence back!

I've been on 'BOB' too and it was one of the most constructive lessons I have ever had. I brough things away with me that I now do evertime I ride. He can help riders of any level. Bob is owned by Sue and is aprt of the Charity Jigsaw so no advertising for profits sake really going on here.
I for one applaud the work that they are doing. :D:D:D:D:D:D

This w/end I was out hacking with 2 friends on horses recovering from tendon/ligament injuries. We were waiting at some temporary traffic lights by some roadworks when there was a very loud hissing noise & water squirted from a long pipe which frightened all 3 horses! They all spun round & onto someone's lawn outside their bungalow! Then it did it twice more!
My lessons on Bob certainly paid off as I did not come out of the saddle at all!
It is nearly 12mnths to the day since my horse spooked sideways in the manege when I came off & broke my humerus & I am left with it pinned & plated.
What a coincidence! but thanks to 3 rides on Bob, my seat is so much more secure & this is NOT an advert.
United Utilities said it was a leaking valve & are going to sort it & I filled in the holes in the grass with sand & put a note of apology through the door & some chocolates as I think the owners must be away.
I didn't want them to think bl---y horses!
