Does anyone know how to get involved with providing medical cover at events?

OH is Anaethetist and Advanced Life Support type person and wants to do something in his spare time.

I've seen an Association but can't remember the name.

Any idea?

FinnMcCoul - Totally off topic..... but in your sig, that photo of your cat, whats the thing on the circular matt behind it??? Its bugging me trying to work it out (or do I not want to know....!)

I was sure I knew the answer ( British Equestrian Medical Assoc seemed to ring a bell) but it's gone again. Is going to annoy me now, sorry will post if remember. I was sure I had seen a recent article about it but have checked Eventing and H&H.

Have googled and found this article:

http://www.bma.org.uk/ap.nsf/Content/sportingevents~Courses

At the very bottom there is an email address for the Medical Equestrian Association. Any use??

Also on BE site this is contact no for person resp for medical cover etc:

Doctors are booked via events, other medical staff would be working via the paramedic supplier. BE have a list of suppliers. Give them a call & ask for eastern contacts
