What are they for? I currently don't use boots on my horse but have wondered if I can give him a little support as he gets a dodgy fetlock- Undiagnosed with out MRI scan. Much of the time he's good but if can help it would be a big plus point.

They really don't offer any support to the internal structures of the leg. Very thick, so protect from heavy knocks, but also make the legs hot, so I'm not a fan. I had some, but I got rid of them

That answers that then, and saves me some money! Thanks :)

Is there any type that might be of use or him?- Only ever used bushing boots in my whole horse owning life!

I asked my vet whether I should be using anything to support Alfs knackered old legs, and if so - what? She snorted, and said the only thing that was capable of supporting weakened internal structures, was a plaster cast. I stopped using boots from that day!
