I got thoroughly overexcited at an event on Sunday to see a haylage supplier was selling medium sized bales which would probably feed a horse for a week. I thought this is the answer to all my problems (!!!) and sent them an email asking for prices.
And got one back saying it was £30, THIRTY POUNDS, for a medium sized bale. I thought this was extraordinarily expensive considering bales twice the size sell for £25. How does that work?
Does anyone else get medium sized bales (think half of a normal 4 ft rectangular one) and how much are they?
It would be cheaper for me to buy the little Devon haylage bales from the feedshop and feed horse that I think!!
