I have one medium stable rug for my mare but it was on the cheap side and it pulls on her withers a bit. Which ones do you use and would recommend?

Its warmer tonight dont you think? Switching back to mediums but i'm sure it will get cold again in a day or two!

aerborn are doin a medium weight called an igloo which are really nice!! + not very expensive, i work in a shop that sells them + all customers have been pleased wiv them!! they look really nicely made!!

No not really cheap. I know good quality costs now. It can be a crimbo prezzie. I havent found any aerborn i'll have a look.

How much fill is mediumweight to you? I have a full range of Weatherbeetas - Jasper Extra Lite 110g, Jasper Lite 200g, Jasper 300g, and Belmont 360g. The "new" versions of the two mediumweights are the Belmont medium 200g and the Jasper Wave 300g. I LOVE Weatherbeeta stable rugs (though I hate their turnouts!)

Can highly recommend the Horseware Amigo stable rugs, they are lovely and light in weight but the fill traps the the warm air nicely. I've got two now, one medium weight and one heavy weight.

The one i've currently got is a Shires one, at least thats what it was advertised as on the website I got it from (and still is) but it doesnt have a logo on it for Shires. It just pulls too much and is a bit short on her

Ditto Silmarillion, I love Weatherbeeta stable rugs, especially the Belmont, though I hate their turnouts. One mare has been using the same heavyweight WB right through the last 9 winters, it is professionally cleaned each summer but has never needed repair, never slipped or rubbed her, and looks brand new after cleaning. I have a combo but prefer the standard shape, which has a slightly high 'collar' effect which fits beautifully. The lighter weight Jaspers are also brilliant. My big-shouldered mares are better with the shoulder gussets. Fal and Rambo are good and worth the extra for turnouts, but I prefer WB indoors - the Horseware stable rugs don't have tail flaps (at least, they never used to), and I've known them slip.

My WBs have breathable nylon linings, they're light and easy to handle, the fastenings are excellent, they fit and they last - what more can I say?

I've got the new belmont HW combo for her and that is a decent fit. Just looking for the Jasper Lite 200g but it keeps coming up with the extra lite one

Might have to go for the 300g.
