Does anyone have any recommendations for the above? I have a limited budget - £60 at most. No 1 priority is something that does not leak followed by resistance to rips!

Just today bought a gorgeous Masta med turnout in a heavenly bright plum (well, it was at 3pm anyway). £40 from our local tack shop. If your ned has a vast arse like mine (like my ned's I mean lol) then the bum could be a tad more generous but fabulous all the same.

I am going to go down to our local Scats countrystore to have a look tomorrow. I have to say that 'cybercheckout' recommended by chestnut_mare_1 (above) has some truly amazing deals on it's site.

My horse's bum is not that big, but I do find most rugs tight around his shoulders/chest.

Yes I think that is the one I am looking at - something like £70-£80 on one of the country's hugest retailers, £50 ish on the cyber site. (And that is the 1200 denier one). TBH I will prob go for that in the end.

I always vote for cybercheckout but I also love Horseware rugs so that helps. I found a site I was raving about the other day www.5starsaddlery.com and as it turns out it is cybercheckout anyway that have developed a seperate equestrian website away from there tents and things. I also find them very helpful if you have any questions.

my tb is big around the chest too and i bought a 6'9 amigo instead of her usual 6'6 and it is perfect. it also gives her a bit longer over her wee touche. the wee lads was a perfect fit with his normal 4.9. but he is quite narrow.

Went to my local SCATS countrystore this pm. Got my horse a 1200 denier, 200gm filled Horseware Amigo rug (with hood) for £55 (down from £95).

I am so thrilled.

This was a better deal than I could find anywhere on the internet, esp with the 1200 denier (someone's going to tell me they know somewhere cheaper now, I bet!)
