I picked up Bailey on bonfire night to become my new little companion :) He is a 1yo chihuahua (dont laugh!) but seems to think he is a doberman - little man syndrome! This is now wearing off thankfully and he is such a sweetie :) He has no manners but has now learnt sit, and stay in his bed. He sort of has a re call but i chanced it whilst on the farm to see what he would be like and thankfully he went hooning off and came back to check where I was and then hooned off again and came back! He just follows me where ever I go. He is getting neutered 2 weeks on monday as I think this will help with his socialisation as he is very dominant with other dogs and will try and hump them. Anyway, I will post a couple of pics :)

The evening he arrived

In his old home he was treated like a baby, sleeping in bed at night etc etc so just trying to wean him off all this. He now stays in his cage all night with only a little cry when we put him in there.

If anyone has any helpful tips on looking after your chi's please post :)

Just wanted to say what a handsome little man he is :) you must be so chuffed and well done on starting to get rid of his 'bad' habits

He is lovely and glad you are getting him to man up, brought up properly they are no different to any other dog. People who buy them as handbag dogs and treat them as fur babies do the breed a diservice as they are cracking little dogs.

Errr I'm not sure. In his old home he got walked once a day round the block and with me he gets walked once in the morning, taken round the farm at lunch time and a walk in the evening before bed. This is showing as he is getting a bit skinny so giving him extra food. There is no reason why they can't be treated like proper dogs and go for proper walks though :)
