So following on from this http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?624644-Loan-doubts-UPDATE the other week, I thought it was about time I introduced you all to the handsome chap that's stolen my heart.
He's a 7yo Irish cob who hasn't done a lot yet, but I'm hoping he'll be able to turn his hoof to a bit of everything once he's fitter. I have him on a 6 month trial and all being well will be buying him in January  He loaded like a dream last night and strolled off the trailer like a pro albeit a pro with dragon-like tendencies! We had a few spooks on the way to the field - namely a wheelbarrow that looked at him funny and a hose that clearly wanted to eat him, but all in all I'm so proud of the way my special little man took it all in his stride.
Here he is settling into his field.
I know he's overweight at present and in need of a trim (farrier is booked for Monday) so no CC please.
After 4 years of hoping this day would come I can't believe I actually have a horse again. We're going to go for a walk in-hand tonight so he can get his bearings. I'm a little bit nervy of riding him for the first time at our yard so will probably wait until the weekend when I have all the time in the world to ride and don't have to rush anything.
