Left home at 8.35am on Saturday morning to begin the trek across to East Sussex to view a horse. Arrived there at 2.40pm
Didn't take long to suss out that she was exactly as described, and exactly what we were after. Bunged her on the lorry and arrived home 12hours after leaving!

So, meet Indi! (Pics from advert, more pics to follow!)

She is a 6yo TBx (almost definitely Welsh D). She has been professionally produced to event but physically cannot do that now. She has been out of work since December, with the exception of being sat on once 6 weeks ago. The viewing was the first time since then that she had been sat on. She is an amazing ride, so soft, supple, responsive and drops into an outline as soon as you pick the reins up.

She travelled well, and came off the lorry to be gawped at by my other 3, who were turning themselves inside out at the prospect of a new horse arriving. She just stood there and took it all in with no stress what-so-ever.

But anyway! She went out with Pancake (my almost yearling) yesterday and they are best buddies already, which is good as the primary reason for buying her was to have a companion for Pancake
Secondary reason for buying her was so that my mum could have something to hack again (she used to hack Tills, who we lost 3 weeks ago). Mum was to nervous to ride on saturday but had her first sit last night and Indi was perfect.
I am looking forwards to having something to hunt next season (OMG - so excited already!) and I'm sure we'll find a couple of HTs to bomb around.

She is such an easy horse, it is hard to forget she hasn't been here forever! Last night she was stood on the yard having her feet trimmed, her mane brushed, and a bridle tried on (all at the same time

)..... completely not phased. She is an overgrown kids pony!

Still feel guilty about 'replacing' Tills, but Indi feels SO right, and if anything should be following in Tills' footsteps, it should be Indi

Yay!

haha!!! I'm sure she'll be thrilled to know she's happy and relaxed...although that doesn't surprise me. Can't remember Ind ever being stressed about anything!!

SO pleased she's found a nice home

I'm just so relieved that we found her, and she was definitely worth all the hours in the lorry

Have you ridden her? And have you ever sat on any of Anna's 'finished' horses?
Bearing in mind that Ind is 6, and has had so much time off, I was amazed at how well schooled she is. On that basis I can't imagine what it must feel like to sit on a finished article produced by Anna!
I am sorely tempted to load up Fee and Rage and take them to Anna for bootcamp (don't think she'd appreciate my hooligans!

Yep i've ridden all of Annas...she is bloody good (dont tell her i said so!). Am lucky as she's one of my best friends so i get lots of 'free' help!! When i broke my ribs i had Blue in boot camp with her for few weeks and he came on so far. It' would have taken me months to getthe same results i think!! Her horses always come out fab, i used to ride her advanced eventer quite a bit before he was sold and he was just awesome.....like a horsey Rolls Royce!!!

AR - 'Horsey Rolls Royce' would sum it up perfectly I would think. You are very lucky to be able to be so involved with her and her horses (not jealous, honest!

)
Was that your little silver 3.5t parked in front of the house then?! The penny drops!

ISZ - She has a problem with her shoulder that makes her lame if she is asked to work round, just in walk. She is fine to work in all other respects, but just can't be an eventer because she can't do the dressage. A real shame, and a real waste, but that's horses I suppose

She is very lucky to have had an owner that has been so good about finding her a second career.

Ah what a shame, although if she didn't have that problem you probably would never have got her so I guess it is a bonus! She looks fab and I think you will have a lot of fun with her. Great to see the horse finding a great home that will suit her

CF - It is very easy to fall in love with her, it does literally feel like she has been here forever already. The first time she was introduced to Pancake they sniffed noses for a second and then immediately started grooming

and they graze so close that their sides touch. It is very sweet and such a relief.

ISZ - You are absolutely right! She was almost sold in November for a LOT of money, but she failed the vet as the beginnings of her shoulder issue became apparent at that point. Must have been a bitter pill for her owner to swallow, but like I said, she has been fantastic about it and put the horse first.
