We brought her home today

For those that missed my last post, she is a 16hh 4year old bay mare, TB x con

She went into the box fine, then had a bit of a spaz when she got in there, but were told "she's fine once she gets going" so we got going!! She travelled well though and was remarkably settled when we got home. Queenie was extremely jealous!!!! Stamping around and causing a scene- making a general arse out of herself while the baby stands chilled out in her stable

I just had a play with her, she has got the most amazing paces but is still slightly unsteady with her head, which the vet says will come in time- plus her 4yo teeth are coming through so she isn't 100% happy. She is so responsive to the leg, she can leg yield and does a better medium trot than Queenie!!!

Anyway just a couple of photos, excuse the bling bridle, its my spare one

And yes I know she has a big belly, we will work on that
smile.gif
She is underdeveloped and needs lots of work but she is definitely going to be something special. Sorry for lack of ridden photos, dad is at work and mum cant work the camera

she looks lovely
smile.gif
a little upside down at the moment, but I can see she is going to be a stunner when all muscled up!

She has a lovely eye, very soft

so, are you going to do some young event horse classes or take things easy with her now and compete her next year?
smile.gif

I love connie x tb

Lol, was only for about 5 seconds while I took a pic.

Thanks everyone

She is so lovely, and unfazed by everything- rode her in my field and she didn't spook at bikes/people walking up the lane, whereas Q would have spun round!
We are going to do some BSJA over the winter, as well as working on her flatwork and doing some xc schooling and then do some intros next year- depending on how good she is we will take it from there! If she is really good then we will keep her, if not we will sell her on
smile.gif

Don't know about 5yo classes, depends how she goes really, maybe at the end of the season!

I really wanted a connie x TB when I was looking but couldn't find one big enough! She would have been perfect
smile.gif

She's lovely, and will be even more so when you get her into shape! I have a 4yo mare too, but if i asked her to do a medium trot she'd think i had lost it, bless her - she's only been broken a few months and still is very immature, though as quiet as a 20yo happy hacker, dispite being v well bred (see my other post on naming her
wink.gif
) Best of luck with Racey Lacey
