Meet Lynn and Sue

They are very cute :) We had a ferret a few years back, he was a delightful though high maintenance pet but sadly was PTS at 6 with lymphoma which I gather is quite common in ferrets.

Yes sadly it does seem common in my experience, I took on 2 from a petting farm years ago who had been allowed to get jn a terrible mess with the lumps they had, cost me a small fortune but they were such lovely characters.
 
Oh they are gorgeous Twiggy . I love ferrets. My neighbour in Cornwall kept them and i'd often pop round to give them a cuddle.
They were a bit stinky tho and I was never sure if it was because he was a bit slack in the cage cleaning, or that they are just a bit wiffy anyway ( not an expert, as you can tell !)

The can be a little smelly as they are mustelids but the cleaner you keep them the less they smell and the girls are not as whiff as the boys.
We use cat little and corner litter tray for ours.
 
We have new additions, Sue escaped when wind moved the whole enclosure and was found drowned, so dissapointed to have lost one especially like that, either way though ferrets really need company of their own kind and also to help them keep warm over the winter. The new additions are both nameless currently so any suggestions are welcome.
The top photo is Lynn and the others are the 2 new girls.

So sorry to hear about Sue. It must have been awful for you.

The new two look lovely; I love that little face in second photo. Susie and Gladys maybe?
 
Thanks for all the suggestions, we have gone with the names Rita and Vera for the new additions, Vera is the darker one, Rita has the pink nose and Lynn has the big eyes and a darker tail.
Lynn is much less nippy than the other 2 and they nip if they are thinking meat rather than biscuits are on offer, hopefully this will settle and at least its not an aggressive bite but a nip.
