Sure,
they were originally bred to race and track scent typically over all types of terrain, from low-lying pasture to steep fell sides with streams, walls, ditches and even roads to be crossed in-between. They have been linked to Bloodhounds, Greyhounds, Foxhounds and i think Beagles (am not certain.)
Those that do not make the grade often unfortunatly end up in rescure centres, which is how i came to be owned by Jilly
She is the sweetest dog i've ever known and a complete softy. They're nothing like any of the breeds i've mentioned, characteristics wise (IMO) they're completly individual. Only trouble is when we first got her she did used to think with her nose rather than her brain and has selective hearing at times (but don't they all
