Hi,
We had to have our GSD PTS in August 06 after 10 happy years so after much discussion and me stamping my feet like a 3 year old we decided on a breed we both liked, found one, met him today, loved him and bought him home

Green eyed monster here! I am sooooooo jealous, I love weimars.
Have you had much to do with them before? We had a rescue one and he was a real character, very smart and very opinionated. Another one on my list of "I wants" Good Luck with him I hope you'll have years of fun together.

Nope, never had one before, only had a labrador, colllie and a GSD.
Hendy has soooooo much energy, I swear someone is secretly feeding him orange smarties

He still needs some training as he is a complete nutter on the lead

But he seems to be learning quite quickly.
He is also a complete pig, anything that looks remotely edible he will try and eat it

Great choice of dog, you will surely have fun with a Weimar, this is my daughters girl, Jessie. My daughter has been brought up with Vizslak and GSP's, she has had her own GSP(rescued at 13 years old, lived to 15 years) who died last year and now there is Jessie who is a rescue dog.
