She is an ex-racer that was looking for a new home, I don't know too much about her yet and we are just going to take things nice and slowly. She is 8yrs old and 16'3.

Did'nt want to jinx anything by broadcasting it!

It was awful driving on the motorway to pick her up, don't think i could have picked a worse evening!

She looks a real sweetie. What's her proper name?
If she's been on the racecourse you should be able to trace her history on the Racing Post website.

She looks lovely Lisa, where did you get her from. Is she to replace May or are you keeping both of them?

I have'nt decided yet, will see how Ruby goes. I thought May had booked her ideas up being on the Regumate so took her to dressage on Wed eve, and she was a horrible little girl! Got a 2 for right rein canter

Will log on now and have a look!! She only ran 7 races, but was more interested in what was going on around her than winning!

She is called Ruby Anniversary.

Bless her she is gorgeous looks like she was just not fast enough she hasnt raced for 5 years and only raced for her 3 first years .
What has she been doing since 2003 do u know, she should has racing well out of her system now anyway after all that time off.
Good Luck with her

She has been at a racing college, then was taken to train again, but her heart was'nt in it, so she has'nt done much since xmas, and only had low overall miles on her clock so to speak!

She is beautiful, good luck with her.
Is she your first ex-racer?
There is a really nice forum called scotnorth ex racers
http://scotnortherc.proboards52.com/
It's really friendly and helpful. There are shows and clinics etc organised.
Would be nice to see you there

Thank you for that, will take a look, am going to need lots of help and advice! I've had a pure tb mare before but not an ex racer.

She looks lovely, nice condition and great colour, I can see you in re-trained racehorse classes soon! Have a great weekend with her!
