Most of you don't know but I am applying to Veterinary Medicine. I am a graduate (Biology degree) so took A-level Chemistry this year to boost my application.

I had an interview this year but didn't get an offer

But TBH it was hard since my dad was in intensive care following a stroke so I wasn't very focussed. I have done night school and the whole A-level in a year but missed alot since me and OH had to move in with my folks to pay the bills and dad was in hospital for 3 months.

It just shows that anything is possible if you want it badly enough. Role on the applications.......I KNOW I can get in if I put my mind to it. WHOOOOOP!

Well done, that's amazing result. I did A level Chem years and years ago at school and it was very hard.

Can you get a place through the equivalent of clearing now you have an 'A' or do you have to wait and apply again next year?

There is no clearing for Vet Med since it is really oversubscribed so I have to reapply next year

. I REALLY hope I get in next year. I want it so much......I just have to convince the vet schools that I can do it.

Congratulations! What a fantastic result, especially completing it in a year and working and the other pressures.

Well done and good luck with the vet's school applications

That's awesome, well done! I was thinking of applying last year - looked into the grad RVS course but I have to say the idea of doing A-level biology for a whole year before I even started to apply eventually put me off - and they wouldn't accept my science degree (non-biological) for anything :-(
I also would've had to move back home w parents and stuff. Good on you for have the balls to do it!
