Has anyone used it?
Does it work?
In between Fella destroying yet another rug for his sweetitch, and his new one arriving, he has managed to rub of parts of his mane and tail.
Do you think it made your horses hair grow back thicker and/or stronger, or was it a waste of money and I should just leave it and wait for it to come through on its own?
Thanks :D

Well, my PRE rubbed a big chunk of mane out in October (first time I thought I could risk him with the rug - how wrong I was!) It looked a horrid mess so I used Megatek.

Got to say that I do think it's helped. I mean, I was using it dry for a while and it could be said that the residue that was left on the hair made it feel thicker. But still, I certainly think it helped and in fact my friend also commented that he looked a helluva lot better. I've also used the de-tangler which has been great too.

I bought some earlier this year based on what people had said on here about it. Ludo gets quite bad mane rub with his rugs and about 4 months ago he also decided to throw himself on the floor and badly skin both knees. So bad the vet said the hair wouldn't grow back. At the same time he got a nasty bite on his neck which took all the hair away - you could see where the teeth had dragged down his skin.

I'd say his mane didn't grow back particularly faster as I'd expected, but I do think it's grown back stronger/thicker. For his knees, the hair has pretty much grown back except in the very centre, but the hair around it is certainly longer so he can have a bit of of comb over the now very, very small bald patches! As for his neck, you can't even tell where he was bitten (accident prone my horse? not much!!)

I used it 2 or 3 times a week in a 50/50 water/megatek solution. It smells absolutely lovely - a coconutty smell. I've plenty left so will definately be using it again when the next incident happens

I know three people including myself whose horses' manes were ruined by the stuff. Made it very dry and brittle.

My girl lost 6 inches of length down her whole mane where it broke off.

Gutted!!
