Just to keep it brief but my best friend horse has just gone into surgery I found him this afternoon with a puncture wound under the fetlock and above the heel bulb.
He was a bit wobberly coming in from the field - not wanting to walk forwards but I put it down to now wanting to leave his friends ( and where is this stranger taking me!)
Farrier was having a nightmare shoeing him and thats when we spotted the very concealed wound ( at this point I was feeling a little guilty for not spotting soooner ) - no blood.
Anyway owner was made aware and she called vets to meet her at the stables......I was shocked to hear that he needed to go immediatly to Pool House.
So mega vibes needed that its not too serious.........owner has had a really crap 2yrs and does not deserve this, nor does the horse as he is such a lovely boy!!
