Has anybody used Megatech (not sure of spelling), with any success, for building up feather on a traditional?
Markie used to have his feathers clipped off every winter in his previous home (last clip was January) and I'm keen for him to have full, fluffy feathers for next summer's shows. Quite a few people have said to used Megatech, but, they've never actually used it themselves! Just been told it's good!
Previously, if I've wanted hair to grow 'faster', I've rubbed Cornucresine onto the offending patch but that's way too messy for feather! Markie has just started getting biotin in his food to help too.
Megatech looks like it's exactly what I need but it's expensive if it's just good advertising and snake oil!

I love it and use it occassionally as I tend to just use pig oil on feathers - it is lovely but I wouldn't have said it increases rate of growth, just conditions and protects (which the pig oil also does) the hair. It is a lovely after bath conditioner.

ps it's mega-tek

I used it on my old NF boy. He had a bare patch on his mane. Started using it in the april and he had a full mane by the NF show in July. He didn't grow hair very well either, so it def worked.

My new girl was hogged when I got her. I used it and her mane grew back really fast. The rate of growth def slowed when I stopped using it.

I use it on my sweet itchy. Not noticed any faster growth but it smells amazing and leaves his mane & tail in gorgeous condition.
I guess good condition feathers are more likely to grow than bad condition ones though!

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I think I shall invest and see how it goes. I've used pig oil for years to avoid muddy legs in winter on non-hairies, so, can always revert to that and just use mega-tek (thanks for spelling) for high days and holidays!
