A friend recently mentioned something called Megatex (or similar) when we were talking about a bald patch caused by rugs over the winter. Apparently it's great for helping hair or mane to grow back. I can't find it anywhere though. Has anyone heard of it and can you recommend where I can get it from?

Thanks!

Sorry never heard of it. Are you sure it's Megatex. I always use a vest to stop rubbing in the first place

That's the stuff! Thank you very much guys.

Flowerlady, he wears a anti-rub vest during winter when I rug him up but it's either not prevented it or someone else on the yard has not put it on when he's been turned out. Just one of those things - but this stuff should be a life saver!

I personally rate it is as one of my No 1 products in my grooming kit.

I use it mixed 50 - 50 with water every other day rubbed into the roots of the boys manes - Cairo now has a full mane and Chancer's grows over 1" a month (gypsy cob so needs full mane). I also use it on tops of tails and Chancer's feather to survive his rubbing.

Is excellent on growing back rubbed hair and/or hair that has been scraped off with top layer of skin.

Certainly does on my two, some people have not been so pleased with it, but I would give it a go. Smells wonderful and if nothing else, I found my fingernails grow really quickly and are far stronger than they used to be since rubbing it in.

Their survivor detangler is the best you can get - and as I have very hairy horses I think I have tried them all!
