Hi!
Two years ago we bought the most warm-hearted pony! She is a palomino and my daughter competes with her in dressage. Her name is Meiriogen Aur. She was born in 2005 in Wales. Unfortunately I don’t know exactly where but I really want to know. She has lived in Swden almost her whole life.

I’m looking for other owners of Meiriogen ponys and a true bonus would be if someone could help us and tell us the location of the breeders (B & C Roberts) as we would love to visit the birthplace of our pony.

The very best regards from a pony-family in Sweden.

I did a bit of digging for you and this is where your pony was born if she was born at the stud

Meiriogen farm, Llanddeusant, Anglesey

Some information about the area here:

Eric and Dilys Roberts breed Welsh cobs and pony sized cobs at Erdyl stud, near Bryngwran on Anglesey. They may be relatives of the B & C Roberts who bred Meiriogen Aur.

Erdyl stud website.

I have a Meiriogen horse. Shes fantastic. I did try and visit the stud a few years ago when we were in the area but no one was home at the time. I left them a note and they did ring back to say they were a small stud specialising in palominos.

Oh, can’t add anything, but how lovely! I hope they are there when you visit. FB is a useful thing for tracking people down, maybe there’s a local breeders page you could post on….

Oh! You too? Yes they are truly amazing and sooo beautiful!

I don’t think we’ll have the opportunity to knock on the door (travelling by train), but feels so good just to visit the area.

I attatch two pictures (new) of our Meiriogen Aur now living in Lidköping Sweden.
