Sorry forgot who is was who was worried about their horse sticking their tongue out when playing; I have found a pic of mine doing it so your chap is not alone!!! (sorry posted this pic in another post to those who have to look twice!!!)

Someone told me it means "Don't hurt me - I'm a baby!" which is laughable as my boy is the most bossy & dominant horse I have ever met!

My boy Weston Justice often puts his tongue out to introduce himself, he likes you to hold it! Not such a macho image.
