Hi
I am new on here. I have heard that you get some excellent advice on this forum! I know this question must get asked all the time but doing a search didn't pick up exactly what I would like to find out.

I am looking to put down a menage (only 20m x 20m initially) and want to do a decent job on it (not on the cheap). I have been looking at Andrews Bowen stability pro and Martin Collins Activ-Track. I quite like the idea of a waxed surface as there was one at a previous livery yard I was at.

My question is, does anyone on here have experience with either of these surfaces? Can anyone recommend alternatives to these that they are very pleased with? What other waxed surfaces are there out there that may be cheaper? The surface cannot contain rubber as the proposed menage site is next to a water course.

I would be very grateful for any advice at all

Many thanks

Hi,

We are in the same situation as you but are hoping to have a 60 x 20m built. We have a wonderful neighbour who is going to do the majority of the work for us and I have been advised by quite a few people that if you can do it yourselves it is cheaper but can still be properly done.

I ride on a lovely wax surface that we hire every couple of weeks but it is indoor. I keep looking on the internet and in horse and hound for companies that will do supply only surfaces, we are in Shropshire and there doesn't seem to be any that are local to us so the delivery charge is therefore dearer too. I will keep looking! Good luck with your menage, if I find out more I will let you know.
