My Harmony's have died :( a little bit :(
I was clipping big girl, and switched off to answer my phone, when I switched back on, they wouldnt! There are 2 speeds on the handset, and the clippers still work on the I setting, but not the II setting.... Luckily big girl quite likes being clipped, so stood nice and quietly whilst I took another hour to do half a body!

I emailed Liveryman re the clippers and they emailed back to contact Agri-Lloyd as they are the makers of the clippers, but Ive lost the number, and the only contact details I can find are for their livestock feeds and supplements, no mention of them making or repairing Liveryman Harmony's.

So....does this sound like a fixable problem, or should I just glup hard and buy a second set? I can still clip with these ones, its just reeeeeeeally slow, which my little one wont put up with, and obviously I cant do clients horses with faulty clippers.

Grrr, more expense!

Honeycomb ice cream to all who waded through that! x

Ours are broke too :-( Sounds exactly the same. I was looking at sending them for servicing at Clippersharp (Google it) but haven't got round to it yet. Don't just get rid though - have them looked at first cos Im hoping it's fixable! :)

Cheers Itsonlyme!! Ive got their address, so Ill give them an email and see what they say :) Praying they are fixable as I adore these clippers!!x

My Listers kept tripping out as soon as I started to cut so I sent them to Alan Talbot Clipping Services in Buxton (google the website). He repaired them and they have been fine since. I think most clipping places can mend them. Think mine had a new circuit board and it was £80.
I am sure they will be repairable

Re the Liveryman clippers, have you tried wiggling (technical term) the contact point where the clippers connect to the battery pack? It can get pulled part way out sometimes. Mine are super little clippers and have done zillions of horses. The only time they let me down was when I was clipping my rescued and attitudinal gipsy cob mare. She was being a total and absolute tit and after sending me flying with a well timed bum-swivel I threw the clippers at her in a temper. In the split second after I threw them, I remembered that they were actually still attached to me via the battery pack clipped to my waist. So when I threw them they only went a couple of feet then fell to the concrete floor and broke into a trillion pieces. Much muttering and swearing as I put them back together and carried on clipping but they worked just fine, much to said mare's annoyance.

I've got harmony clippers but sent the blades off to be sharpened by 2 different companies and now they're useless - any ideas? I don't really want to have to buy new blades every year. If not then I'll have a second hand set (minus blades) going spare..

Thanks all :) Ive sent clippersharp an email, jst asking for a questimate on the price of repairing, so if they dont get back to me, Ill google the Buxton chap :)
It definately not the connection to the battery (I have 2 so that I can keep on clipping) as I had a good wiggle and fiddle (Im good at technical terms! :D) and it made no difference. Typical!
BoF - I too have thrown them at a horse...and they have been trod on by the same horse (hense why the clippers weere thrown at her!!)

SuseP - Which companies did you use? Mine have been sharpened and are fine, I sent mine to Clippersharp. Blades that have been sharpened are never as clean cutting as new ones, but you should get a nice, tidy, easy clip from re-done ones... Maybe an email/phonecall to the people who sharpened yours would be an idea? It may be your handset/batterey that isnt quite right rather than the blades?
Very frustrating isnt it!!Ive got hairy legged ponies to sort and client wating on a tidy up!! Argh! xx

Cheers PeterNatt, I have actually just had an email from Clippersharp saying that it would probably be the circuit board and that it wouldnt be very expensive to fix (about £50) so Im sending them off to them in the morning :D Yay, my clippers will live again!! :D xx

Hi rosehip, I've just came across your old post regarding liveryman clippers cutting out, I have had the same issue only works in the first setting. I did send them back when I first brought them but it keeps happening, can you advise if you had them repaired and what the issue was?

I don't think Rosehip is on here any more Cavana13... but I have had Liveryman's repaired by ************ (I think) and they are superb again! Give them an email/call and they will be able to advise you.

MiJodsR2BlinkinTite - if you hate yours and you want to get rid, send me a message, I'm after a second pair! :D
