my mare has now been diagnosed with damage to meniscus in stifle and had a months review after restricted turnout and controlled exercise. she is much improved 1/10 lame on a straight line and the plan is to continue gradually increasing her work for 2 months and review. she has been seen at newmarket,they dont advise arthroscopy or injections but initially on our first visit said meniscal damage has a guarded prognosis. today they were v pleased with her progress and seem more optimistic but i guess it depends how she copes with extra work,,, any experience ,thoughts,advise and esp positive stories...
