OH has taken up riding again - but has lost weight so is on hunt for new breeches. So far the ones he has tried make him look like a ballet dancer (ie fit on leg and too tight on other bits!) or something out ofthe victorian cavalry with baggy thighs!

Any suggestions for a 6 foot man with slim long legs (sulk!!)

John Whitaker, Cavallo, Kentucky and Derby House all do men's breeches which are worth a look

Dunno what to suggest, my OH has to buy girly ones as mens don't come small enough (unless you pay a fortune) he likes Pikeur Lugana's but they are still baggy in leg (though not like a ballet dancer) I sulk as he buys a 24" waist!

actually - ive just remembered - when he first started riding i went up the yard first and allowed him to dress himself - it was summer and he arrived at the yard in his jods and boots and a short vest type t shirt - i nearly died of embarassment! all his bits were showing (he's a very handsome black man - so when i mean 'bits' I MEAN BITS!!!!!) I could have killed him! Thats when i bought him jean type riding trousers!! xxxx

My Oh has the Derby house breeches and they are fab - fit on the legs and baggy where they should be - only £35 too which seems like a bargain....

My OH is about 6'2" with slim legs, he had Mark Todd breeches in a herringbone fabric, not that clingy stretchy fabric that leaves nothing to the imagination! Think they were about £45 which was not too bad, wash well also.

My other half is a similar build (in all ways!) and he wears loveson for everyday, the two tone ones with sticky inserts.
I reckon mark Todd are the best bet however, after all he's a similar shape.
I've yet to meet a bloke who doesn't look funny in breeches and socks tho!
