Hi all
Saf and I went to Merrist Wood today for the unafil dressage, we have only just started BD and dressage really is not our thing but have managed to scrape a few points but a friend said I should try an elementary test unafil first and see what happens ha
So same friend also said why not try a double? so all week have been playing with the double for our outing today.
Saf was lovely in the warm up and it was a shame they were running late as I felt we were slightly overcooked but have to say I felt softness I have never felt before
The test was E44, for those of you who can remember a recent post of mine about counter canter I was a little worried about the canter loops as Saf likes to change
Well I dont know where to start, it seemed to go quickly, she was soft and calm and the mediums felt fab and the canter stayed soft and I knew I had not been brave enough on the loops as they were not 5mtrs but she did not change
The only real blip was at the end after the simple change she got tense back to trot and down the centre line.
I halted and had the cheesiest (sp sorry) grin and this has never happened to me ever.........................the judge had a huge huge
smile
So walked her off and put her away and when I went back to the board to my total amazement we had come 2nd in a big section with a score of wait for it...............................70.8%......................never have Saf and I ever scored anything like this, we got our first 9 for the 6 sec halt, the judge also came up to me and said she has seen me BD at nov and maybe I should give the Elem BD a go now, this has made my Christmas in fact year
I really don't care if this is a one off I just want to treasure the fealing Saf gave me today, thanks Saf
Thank you to my friend for making me go
Oh got to see a fab 4 year old who is on the Equine Pathway for the olympics WOW can see why
Thanks to for listening to me ramble on
