Please please could I have yet more vibes for Merryn. We had a fab weekend and the kids rode him both days but I got him in to lunge today and he's lame. :( He's been sound for 2 weeks but I think he's got yet another foot abcess. :( The farrier is coming up at 3 tom to have a look to see if she can work out whats going on and if he needs to have front shoes on. :(
I realy realy didn't need this at the mo. I can't go into it on here but it feels like i'm living in an episode of eastenders at the mo with stuff going on in the rest of my life that you couldn't realy make up. :( :(
Oh well never mind i guess what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Anyway please could Merryn have any spare vibes you have he realy doesn't deserve this at all. :( :(
 
Thankyou Splish & Masons mum. I think the abcesses are being caused by a gap in his whiteline which was caused by the lami attack he had in June. (It's always the same foot) I just hate seeing him in pain. :( I just hope i'm right and there's nothing more sinister going on.

I hope your farrier can do something to help, and to stop this happening so often.

Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time yourself, you are right, tough times do make you stronger, but sometimes you just think "enough now"!

Hope things pick up for you and Merryn.
 
Thankyou Sprout. I think we will prob just put front shoes on now. We gave him one last chance without. He's 8 and never had shoes on so it could be fun getting them on. But if it stops the abcesses then it will have to be done.
