Dear all , I know the weather has been hot ,even for the Arabs amongst you. And I know that a paddle ii the village pond ,with splashing is something of a relief. I am also aware of the concerns for the water level in the pond amongst residents , with suggestions of topping it up . HOWEVER , certain ponies ,YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE !!!! Took it upon themselves to raise the water (and I use the phrase loosely) level ! Its not big and its not clever and you thoroughly traumatised the children feeding the ducks!

I share your pain. We have a swamp in our field where the land drain emerges. Mine regularly comes in with mud and pondweed up to the hocks and knees.

Tell said children they have done same "water level raising" in the swimming pool, so have no grounds for complaint. (If they deny it they are lying.)

PS as chief herd leader, please could you advise the chimps who care for me that a hosepipe bath is not “nice and refreshing” and if they think it is, then they can try one themselves!
I have tried to make my point by nudging the arm holding the hose and also biting the hose but they are too dim to take a hint.
