Bit of a pointless post but seriously, all I can say is 'Wow'..

I will admit to sniggering when they told someone who is a very competent rider to 'be brave and ask for canter'. :rolleyes:
Needless to say, said rider was a bit taken aback when this person decided to give them a lesson. :o

I'm glad I wasn't riding at that point because god knows what she'd have said to me (and what I would have said back). :eek: :D
 
People like that make me glad I keep ours at home ! I think I would have had to tell said person to kindly leave me alone :D
 
Ha ha fantastic, the title made me smile at the thought of previous know it alls I've met!!!
Luckily our yard K-I-A doesn't bother me too much but I will have to tell her to butt out at some point!!😊
 
Some people obviously have nothing better to do.
She moaned at me because I refused to hold my dad's horse while he picked out his donkey's feet (have to pick feet out before leaving the arena). the horse was quietly standing next to me while dad sorted his feet. :rolleyes:
 
Ah, but yard know-it-alls are great fun, as long as you resist the urge to rise to the bait. :D

Smile sweetly, tell them that you will take their valuable advice into consideration and ignore them - unless it is good advice, and some times the know-it-alls do have something useful to offer, as does everyone.

It is a long time since I have been on a yard, and when I was everyone knew more than me anyway, and they were certainly all better riders than I am (one of them by the way, Well Done N, is 2013 Welsh Elementary Champion with her lovely purebred welsh D) and several others do very well in the show ring. But nowadays, when I get people here and they say "Oh, you know you should/can/must/need....." I just answer "There you go then" :D
