I would keep it, if I were you. I have been known to ring the vet OOH for them to ask if we had some metacam at home (out of date doesn't matter), advise to administer and wait until morning. I am thinking particularly of a cat with cystitis here but wasp stings etc too.

My vet has said it doesn't go off so I would hang on to it. I ended up using my big bottle up on my old pet sheep. I assume you aren't going to be dog less (hope not). May be useful in the future.

Good idea PAS. I don't think I'm thinking very straight today. Peril is always knocking herself so I could keep it for her.

I would keep it. Its also not legal to pass on vpom drugs. It only for the dog its prescribed for.

Hmmmph yes it is, my vets fobbed me off with a substitute which is not keeping my poor dog sound at all!
OP I always have Metacam in the house (granted I do have quite a lot of dogs ?) and it always comes in handy ? Hang onto it, you’ll need it when you least expect it!
