Metal feedbin

I have 2 from SMF fabrications. Not cheap, my first has lasted at least 5 years with no issues and is now rug storage. They can do bespoke sizing or inserts as needed.

Hi Everyone,
I'm after a decent (not flatpacked) metal feedbin but can't seem to find any! Does anyone have any recommendations?
Whereabouts are you? My YO got hers from the large feed merchants' shop 10 miles away. They deliver to the place that they're going to be used if you don't have suitable transport to do it yourselves. They might charge for this, though.

I'm near Maidstone Kent

Flat pack has it's advantages. I bought a large metal feedbin, that was rodent proof, but not hugely robust. I paid £120, rather than in the region of £300 for a robust one of the size. It was flat pack which came in very handy when I moved yards, as I was able to dismantle it to move it in my car. Had it been pre-made when I bought it, i wouldn't have been able to get it in my car. It was easy to put together and dismantle.

I have a flat packed one ATM but the feed leaks from one compartment into the next and it's really flimsy

Oh I see, that makes sense. I always kept my feed in the bags, within the bin. It was so high I could only just get in it, so didn't want to be having to clean it out frequently. I also didn't have compartments.

OK perfect, I'm probably going to get the 5 compartment. How much feed does each compartment hold?
You can either keep the sections at 300mm, or they can do bespoke sizing if you wanted. Love the supplement shelf. For the standard sizing
I can get a bag of Dengie alfa a in a section, or a bag of readigrass squashed into 2.
Approx 3.5 bags of cubes in a section or about 3 bags of mix.
5 bags of a 15kg balancer in a section.
3 bags of a Topspec mash in a section.

Oh wow! That's alot more than I expected. Thankyou so much for your help I'll definitely be placing an order tomorrow x
