Metal horsebox floor

I want to put aluminium over my wood floor and under the rubber mats.
Has anyone done this , what did you use ,how much did it cost.I have seen this do you think it will be ok?

if your putting it under rubber mats then why bother with chequer plate?

/it offers no structual advantage over plain sheet metal and is more expensive

My box has chequerplate over wood under the rubber mats. Sorry to ask a question on your post but does it give any additional strength? I didnt think it would but thought it may help stop wee penetrating the wood?
