Metercam (think thats what it's called)

Morning folks,

Not often I post in here so hello everyone,

Just a quick question really, can you buy Metecam anywhere else but the vets? do you need a prescription for it?

As far as i know you can only get Metacam on script so it will from the vets

You can get it on line but you need a prescription!!!

You could always see if it is cheaper to buy elsewhere and if so ask your vet for a prescription, but bear in mind that vets are now allowed to charge for scripts.

It's a prescription drug. The cheaper generic form, (like the difference between Neurofen and Ibuprofen) is called Meloxydil

Meloxidyl is the cheaper version. Flexicam is also a cheaper version. It's still prescription only though.

I get mine (with a prescription) from Pet Drugs Online - about £26 for 180ml.
