Hi Sally!
Will have news tomorrow; don't know whether I want the phone call or not!
We took her back to the stud this afternoon and John Newcombe will be checking her out tomorrow. She's weird (as we always knew she would be!) as some days you can watch her and say she must be and what's the point of taking her, then the next day she doesn't look anything like she's ever been near a stallion; a real conundrum of a mare; she's turned me completely grey!
If she isn't, which is what I've been secretly thinking since Christmas even though there have been no signs of her being or coming into season when the others have already been in twice, then at least we can get her checked out and started early again; if she is, we'll be bringing her home again on Tuesday when we take a friend's new mare there.
Thanks for asking, I'll post sometime tomorrow the result. Does anyone want to start a book?!

She couldnt be in better hands John Newcombe is the best.
Know him from when we were in the midlands and have sent semen up to him a couple of times since.
Always spot on and mares always in foal 1st time.

He's done all their stud work since forever, a great character. He won't mind me saying he has a job to tell which leg a horse is lame on but show him a mare's backside that he's seen once, maybe years before and he'll know it and what it's due to or whatever problems it had the year before; he's amazing! As he scanned her every time last year I know she at least WAS in foal then!
