Following on from the recent post about Michael Susi, his wife, has been in contact with me regarding a visit to Devon.

It's possible Michael may be able to visit in April if there are a few people to see so are there any Devon peeps here that would like to see him?

Understandably he does need a few clients to make a visit worthwhile, and as Susi has said he could do half price travel costs this could be a great opportunity!

There has been nothing organised and I would imagine Michael will come down if he has a few of us in a similar area and it will be up to us to book individual visits with him.

However, if a few of us wanted him we could try & hire somewhere central to us all and hold the training all together. If we get a bit of interest from here we could speak to Susi and see what she recommends.

It is a good idea to watch each other and see how MP works through different things using the same principles. Even if you go to each others yards it's easier to drive round, than moving horses about and hiring venues.

It may be best to keep it small, with only two or three horses/owners. I get more from watching him explain what he is doing and watching someone else under instruction than just trying to see what he is doing with a horse on his own.
Sometimes there are a few spectator on a yard which is fine, but the owners that are paying should be the ones with most of the questions.

I really would prefer individual tuition and that's what I had in mind when I posted but am happy to do max 3 if that's the way it works best and we can coordinate it easily enough.

I posted just to see if anyone else would be keen to have Michael if he was down this way. The pricing is all on his website and Susi says it's possible we can get half price travel which would work out at 50p a mile (calculated one way only). I think I'm right in saying that but it would all need to be confirmed when booking as I haven't run through this with Susi, and it's just my interpretation of what I've read on the site.

In addition to the travel cost the website says individual visits are about £240 for a few hours.

If that seems like something anyone would genuinely be interested in then we can confirm a booking and get Michael down.
