I'm about to buy a Rambo Micklem Bridle, but I was wondering if anyone knew if you could compete in the mulibridle? I know there are 2 different types, but I wasn't sure if you could only compete in the Competition type?
Thanks

I have seen people compete in the multi bridle - the only difference I understand between that and the competition bridle is the nose ring for lunging. You cannot use the bit clips for competing.

You can compete in the multi without the bit clips but if you don't need the multi options or nose ring I would recommend the comp version. It it much smarter and softer leather especially on the noseband. The multi ring actually rubbed my boy a bit. I have both versions.

Ohh that's interesting - I didn't know the competition bridle was "nicer" might save a little more for it!
Thanks

We have recently bought a Micklem competition bridle for our quirky dressage horse. OH had a lesson with a high level trainer/judge who let him try the Micklem. Our horse went so much better [ he has bit issues going back to before we got him - he s so forward going/hyper energised and had been hauled on with waterrfords etc to the extent his teeth were worn at the sides].Only been to 1 compeption since, but OH does think the bridle is helping horse accept bit.
Bit cross bridle made in India - always buy English tack as a rule.

I hired the competition bridle recently as I was a bit skeptical about the 'huge differences' people were getting with them. Within 3 rides in it I had decided to keep it... I love it and so does my mare! It looks so smart, she hasn't rubbed her face in it once and goes like a dream (with brakes!)
