Micklem fitting help pleeeease....

So, my micklem arrived yaaaay! Have put my bit on, but it looks weird.
I am using the clips, as it says they help, lift the bit off th tongue, and as she has a heavily scarred tongue that seems like it might be a good idea, but the clips seem to lifting the bit up on one side. I haven't put it on her yet, but it looks wonky? Any tips? Both now, and once putting on her?

Yes watch the videos. I haven't used the clips but it looked wrong hanging up but fine in her head. Watch the video then put the clips on the way he does it maybe?

sorry but haven't used it with a bit so can't be of any more help, there is a sire that hires them out might be worth asking if they can help you

Put the clips on the bridle first, and push them , quite hard, so the brass D ring sits inside the small closed end of the clip. Then clip the bit ring in to the other end. It doesn't work so well the other way round.
