Micklem help

Hi, I've just purchased a Micklem bridle which seems to fit aok. However when using it as a lunge cavesson the lower jaw strap rides up over the bit. The noseband is currently sitting just where the nasal bone ends so can't lower that any more. Anyone else had this issue?

I have a competition micklem so don't have the lunge option but from your description it sounds as if the noseband it too low rather than too high, mine fits well above the end of the nasal bone, the higher the better in my view just as you would a drop many of which are fitted too low nowadays. Ensure the throat strap is snug against the cheeks which should also help prevent slipping.

Thanks, I think if I take it up a hole then the angled part of noseband will then lie over the bottom of the raised cheek bone - isn't this what the bridle is designed not to do? I'll try it tomorrow x

The nose band should sit where a cavesson should sit, with the shaped bit just under the cheek bone. The strap under the chin is for comfort/position it is not to be like a drop at all.

Try using the bit clips when lunging .
