I am thinking of trying one of these but my horse has an odd shaped head and standard sizes of bridle just don't fit him.

He needs a full size head piece, cob cheek pieces, extra full browband and noseband. I am thinking the micklem standard horse will not be big enough around the noseband and the large horse will be too big everywhere else lol

If they are mega adjustable I might be able to get away with it.

Also - does anyone lunge with theirs and is it any good? Does it move much?

I have a standard horse size and the browband is quite big, there is also a lot of adjustment on the noseband fastening underneath, but the throat lash bit is quite short. Obviously you can't change the width of the top of the noseband so if it is too short it will rub on the bony bits on the side of his face but there is adjustment up and down.
I haven't got the one with the lunging ring.

I lunge with mine - I really rate this bridle. The noseband is so well positioned and great for inhand work. I use mine on a fine but long headed WB and a thicker shorter headed Dales. I have the standard horse size.

I have a standard horse size for a horse who fits solely in a full bridle but with a cob nose. The browband is smaller than a standard full browband, so I just swapped it for a normal one. If you're at all unsure I'd find one to try if you can.

I find the Micklem multibridle brilliant for lunging. My 15.3 hh maxicob was resentful and resistant in a conventional lunge cavesson and also when using a lunge rein clipped to the bit and run over his head. He's a very happy bunny in his Micklem which stays in position beautifully.

Micklem sizings are a bit weird. Aforementioned cob is in the Large Horse size although he is a full size in a 'normal' bridle, I also have a Standard Horse size which fits a 13hh gypsy cob and a 15.2 hh half bred sports horse.

If you can possibly borrow one to check the sizing then that is your best bet. I bought mine when Rideaway were running their 15% off promotions, not sure if they still do those. Reckoned I could sell on without too much of a loss if it didn't work out, but I'm keeping both of mine!
