snagged myself a micklem multi bridle in the hope valley sale after eyeing one up for lily for months…can’t put the bl**dy thing together!🤣

anyone that has one, it came with 2 bit straps and 2 intended for using it bitless…which is which?!?! one pair is thinner, but slightly longer. i dare say it doesn’t matter too much, but it’s very annoying that i can’t find anything to tell me which is the right way round! i first thought the thinner one’s because you don’t want anything bulky there, but then i feel like you’d want shorter ones there too?

thanks guys🤣

If I remember correctly there are two bit straps plus the clips, and then the Bitless options are separate (a long leather strap and a shorter thick one that goes in the curb groove? Without getting mine out I can’t remember - is this any help? http://www.williammicklem.com/multibridle-multibridle.html

i didn’t find that set of instructions, but i think it’s pretty much what came with the bridle! when i get home from work tonight i’ll attach some photos of what came with it. i’ve got the bit clips and the long webbing piece, but it came with the 2x pairs of what look like the bit straps, but one has an extra set of holes. thinking about it maybe the longer ones are the ones that wrap under the chin when using it bitless? it doesn’t help that i opened it after work last night at 8:30pm, so i haven’t actually had a horse or a bit to experiment with yet!😂

Good luck with that. I bought one, took hours to fit it all together (I'm dyspraxic) but finally managed it. Neither of my Arabians liked it, so I gave it to a friend whose horse loved it.

lily was in the same style of bridle but a different brand with her old owner & when i tried her, so hopefully she likes it! i wouldn’t be surprised if The Princess says no though🙃
