) i used to just use a Dr Cook with my old boy and am concidering this one for my new horsey, though i would like to see how he goes with a "normal" one first.
one thing that crossed my mind is the loop that is attached to the middle of the noseband - looked like it might rub

seen quite a few over here. mostly on kiddies ponies and i have to say much kinder on ponies/horses especially if you dont have perfect hands! dont know if they would work on strong horses though?!

I have a Micklem - I am writing to the maker ATM as I am afraid I found it dreadful

My mare completely tensed up against it and the bit clips gashed her face

I think they're a great idea in theory....... but did they really test them on as many types & sizes of head as possible?? I think not....

I love the idea of a bridle which fits the head shape better and therefore is kinder, however I dont like the flash type strap - none of mine need it.

If they don't need it then it won't come into play

The fit is ridiculous, I have a 16.2hh warmblood and the full size is too big in some places (M_M the flash strap is baggy!), the headpiece straps are up to the top and so have baggy straps flapping around as there are no keepers, it is uber hard to make it fit correctly - if I fit the nose bit lower (which would free up the bit more) the flash strap is so huge it falls down completely! When my instructor rode her the bit clips caused a big rub, although I haven't had that problem.

Oh poor girl, that looks sore, one of the things that worried me was rubbing? it could do with a padded noseband IMO, an I am affraid Weezy has just confirmed it does have issues, but it is a first generation thing, lets hope they go forward and improve on it as it is a fantastic idea
