I have been riding my horse in a Micklem bridle which seems to fit him well. I now want to try a Myler bit (baucher, MB 32, ie mullen mouth with independent side movement), because this seems to be the sort he would go well in.
Myler state their bits are for use with only a cavesson noseband (except the combination bits of course).
I wonder whether this bit and bridle are incompatible due to the Micklem's built-in drop noseband (which is done up loosely in my case for hacking, and a hole tighter when we go somewhere more exciting!)
