Microcurrent Equine Device: Anyone got this?

Was reading the Horse and Rider magazine, and saw the ad for the Microcurrent Equine Device.

Has anyone got this? Or have experiences with it? It sounds good! But is it worth the money or just another fancy thing?

Seems like a tens machine?

If it is the last word in fixing tendons then
a) why only one study from an undergrad? Why not a selection of studies showing a wider range of injury and patient age (not to mention species lol!) with peer review publications?
b) why aren't vets and doctors using this on tendon issues etc if it shows a 70% improvement level? That's pretty good if true so one would expect them to be widely used if it was realistic?

Sorry, bit of a cynic but I'm not sure I buy this!
